The international law firm Linklaters has advised NRG Energy, Inc. in relation to the sale of its minority shareholding in the lignite-fired power station in Schkopau, Saxony-Anhalt. NRG Energy, which essentially operates in the US, has access to approx. 25,000 MW of installed capacity. Purchaser of the shareholding is a German subsidiary of the Czech energy company Energeticky a prumyslovy, a.s (EPH). The sale was organised as an auction process.
