Emperra GmbH E-Health Technologies announced the closing of a further financing round on June 11. The financing round was led by Peppermint VenturePartners GmbH through the Peppermint Charite Biomedical Fund and by GoodVent Beteiligungsmanagement GmbH and Co. KG. Emperra GmbH E-Health Technologies was founded in Potsdam in 2008 and focuses on the development of new tele-diabetology systems like ESYSTA and other innovations, which are currently at the product development stage. With ESYSTA, Emperra is the first company worldwide to develop as a marketable product a GSM and web-based telemedical closed-loop management system for patients with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2.
