Simpson Thacher is representing Tyco International in its acquisition of a 75% equity stake in privately-held KEF Holdings Ltd. for approximately US$300 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in early summer, subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory approvals. Tyco had 2010 revenue of US$17 billion and has more than 100,000 employees worldwide.
