Slaughter and May's Hong Kong office advised Wing Tai Properties Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, on the sale of its 79.26% interest in its Hong Kong listed subsidiary, Winsor Properties Holdings Limited, to the Vanke Group, one of the leading real estate developers in the PRC. We also advised Wing Tai Properties Limited on its voluntary unconditional cash offer for the shares of a private company which, pursuant to a group reorganisation and distribution in specie by Winsor Properties Holdings Limited, holds a majority of the assets previously owned by Winsor Properties Holdings Limited.
The sale and purchase was completed on 16 July 2012.
